An independent maps-first reference for travel and geography in Oman. No travel-blog filler, no AI-generated POI descriptions — verified coordinates, on-the-ground notes, and embeddable widgets.

What this site is

OmanMap.org plots every fort, wadi, beach, dive site, hiking trail, 4×4 route, archaeological site, port, airport and other point of interest in Oman that's worth visiting, on one consistent base map. Each category and each city has its own page with focused content.

The data

The full POI dataset is open and lives at /data/places.json. Map tiles are OpenStreetMap. Rendering is Leaflet. There's no tracking on map load, no API keys, no paywall.

Embedding

Every page on the site has a one-line iframe embed. Copy it from the embed box on any page and paste it into your blog or news article. Attribution is included; please keep the link visible.
